2017 Nobel Peace Prize for ICAN 0 Awards , World 19:28:00 The 2017 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN),  a coalition of non-governmental organisations from over 100 countries around the globe. It was selected for its for its work to draw attention to the catastrophic humanitarian consequences of any use of nuclear weapons and for its ground-breaking efforts to achieve a treaty-based prohibition on such weapons.
